This panorama captures the action of the Eastern Washington University football team playing their inaugural game on new red turf at Roos Field. The newly named Roos Field played host to Big Sky Conference Rival, the University of Montana Grizzlies. In the last four seconds of the game, the Eagles iced it on the final play with a 34-yard fumble return for a touchdown and one of the greatest victories in school history. The 18th-ranked Eagles knocked off the 6th-ranked Grizzlies for a final score of 36-27. Roos Field, originally built in 1967, is located in Cheney, Washington and is the first college football field with a red playing surface.
